I had a tub to shower conversation done with Five Star, and they were great to work with. Good communication, quality product, and they really did clean up after. Highly recommend!

Greatly exceeded my expectations. Meticulous work and precision. Cleaned everything at the end! Removed a large soaker tub! Love my new walk in shower and have received many compliments from friends and family. Already have friends who are going to hire them because they have seen mine. It started out bad AI scheduling for appointment. took six tries to book an appointment When the salesman came out I asked about replacing an existing fan (wired and vented) was told they would need a HVAC expert that they did not have to install a replacement I shut down at that point maybe a electrician but not a HVAC expert. No contact from me after that. Later they contacted me and offered a $5000 discount. Another month two texts asking for a review I did no business with them and they are asking for a review for what giving me a quote? Later a card in the mail saying they had reviewed my quote and there were some things they could do to reduce the price. today another text saying I could get a discount by referring someone. All this for no business just a quote. Hungry for business? Do not like pushy sales. Will not be following up.

⚠️ Please Be Careful — My Personal Experience With “Five Star Bathroom Solutions”
I want to warn others to proceed with extreme caution when considering Five Star Bathroom Solutions.
What I am sharing below is my personal experience and my personal opinion, but I feel it’s important for people to hear.
From what I personally witnessed, the workmanship on a project I observed was deeply concerning. In my view, the quality was so poor that it left the homeowner with serious problems, including pre-existing water damage and mold that were not properly addressed before new materials were installed. The situation ultimately required the entire bathroom to be gutted and redone, and the homeowner was not compensated for the cost of the resulting damage.
In my experience, the company charged around $22,000 for the bathroom, and when concerns were raised, they offered a small amount of money back—around $2,000—in a way that felt to me like an attempt to appear cooperative while avoiding real accountability. I also witnessed a situation where the customer was asked to sign paperwork limiting their ability to leave honest reviews. This is just what I personally observed, and it concerned me enough to speak up.
Over the course of this project, I documented what I believe to be significant installation issues:
Work done directly over wet areas, water damage, and what appeared to be mold
Little to no proper floor preparation
Old mortar left in mounds under new installations
Angled or unlevel toilet placement
Shower components that were not what the client believed they were receiving
In my professional background—having worked on hundreds of bathrooms and thousands of job sites—I have never seen workmanship or customer handling like this, nor have I seen a situation where such issues were not reimbursed or corrected.
I also worry that vulnerable individuals, such as elderly homeowners or single parents, could easily be taken advantage of in situations like this—especially when financing is involved and the homeowner is left responsible for payments even if the work wasn’t done correctly.
Before choosing any contractor—this company or any other—I strongly recommend:
Getting multiple bids
Asking for transparent documentation of all materials
Checking verified reviews and references
Working with reputable local installers who take pride in their craft
In my opinion, I would not personally recommend Five Star Bathroom Solutions based on what I witnessed. I am speaking up because I don’t want others to go through the same experience

From start to finish this is the best bath fitter in metro area. Communication, follow up communication until the start of the project. Couldnt believe how hard one man worked, the plumber new his stuff and the city inspector showed up before they were completed. Oh you might get a slightly less bid, but dont be fooled, Five Star Bath Solutions bid includes the higher end wallboard, seamless and built in options the others will want you to pay for. So happy with the job, I would recommend at the least get one more bid and get it from them.

The process went very well from start to finish. The team had excellent communication with us and everyone was very easy to work with and professional. They were thorough and answered all of our questions. We were very pleased with the workmanship. The shower finish and materials met our expectations and it was finished in less time than anticipated. We highly recommend Five Star Bath Solutions of Minneapolis.

We love our new tub to shower conversion and LVP flooring. Tom was wonderful at helping choose products and colors that coordinated. The communication was excellent from the time we signed until the bathroom was finished. Wayne is an extremely efficient and professional installer. We are very pleased and highly recommend this company.

Amazing job done from the very beginning to the final Step. Pete did a great job mapping out what I wanted which was not a normal request. Devon did an amazing job Installing my new bath and walk in shower. All done very professionally and very neatly. He kept me informed every step of the way. Devon was amazing about detail and about what I liked and disliked. Cannot thank this team enough for doing what I have imagined in my head for like 15 years. This was just a normal tub with shower now a wet room with walking shower and tub. Love it.

I had a great experience with the completion of my bathroom. The communication from everyone starting with sales to the installers was excellent. I had an issue with water pressure after the installation. I received a quick response, and a plumber was at my house the same week fixing the issue. I love my bathroom and shower surround. Excellent work!!
