Approx 10/15/25 Home exteriors- Columbus sold a product for a low slope roof and tore off and replaced my parents roof. By 3/23/26 we were reporting major leaks. It took a tremendous amount of time and effort to get them to respond to us and take action. 6/5/26 they had to come out and completely tear off the new roofing product as it was not installed following the Owens Corning Instructions at All! Upon the product being torn off, 3 major holes where exposed that the first Home Genius Columbus crew just rolled the new product over. When they did come out to replace the first new roof that they put on, we realized when the top cap sheet was pulled up to the roof that they weren't even installing the BRAND or COLOR that was chosen and paid for in the signed contract. The second team that came out was led by Mike Moore the repair manager, Roberto
, Jeremy and then Martin showed up.Mike Moore made sure every step of the installed followed the instructions for a low slope product. If you use this company for basic items they may be fine. We can only vouch for the final team that came out to do the work and the thoroughness and workmanship lwhich they followed completely tearing off,, repairing and installing the new roof the second time. The company communication, follow through and attention to details is severely lacking in the Columbus Office. The fact that someone could have gone through open holes the first team left when they removed vents and just rolled new product over shows lack of training, supervision and/or use of qualified roofers. The first low slope roof product was lifting from the roof in less than 6 months,along with seams not being sealed and overlaps being done incorrectly and the product not being rolled. To have/hire untrained and unknowledgeable workers to send to peoples home on a product that you sell people shows a company with poor ethical standards.

I will say I had a very, very good experience. First, the consultation with Ralph was excellent, how he explained in detail. Then when the team came in with the roof, they were on time. They got here at 7 a.m., and they finished at 3, clean up and everything. Project manager Nick did an awesome job getting the team together, also Jose. So in my experience, and I would recommend them to anyone, I will definitely give them the absolutely okay. Very good. They did a really excellent job. I will be contacting them very soon. Good team, good company, they work well together, and that is it.

Had new roof installed. Hotest days so far . 100 degree weather. Was very impressed with how they handled financing and how quick the service was. We met on a Thursday and the next Tuesday they was on the job. Very friendly guys considering the weather . Jason came out to take a final look and to answer any questions we had . Going to have them do more jobs down the road on my home again . Highly recommend. Thank you

Original consultant,Ralph,great,friendly and super professional. Listened to OUR needs instead of what he wanted to sell us,as far too many reps do.

Once the project was a go,it was a matter of days before it was begun and completed and it looks INCREDIBLE. The onsite project managers,Leah for the roof and Nick for the gutters and trim,were also great. Answered all questions,explained process where needed and again,super friendly,knowledgeable and professional.

The crews were excellent. Worked fast but with great care to detail and both projects came out beyond my highest expectations.

Amazing work by J&R! We had our French doors replaced with sliding doors and my GOD they came out so beautiful!!! The level of care and detail is amazing! Thank you so much Home Genius for sending out such amazing workers. The process has been amazing with you all and we can’t wait to use your services again for our next home improvement work!

We hired this company in june 2025 to remove old siding and replace with new. WORST company ever!!! They subcontracted to very incompetent crews. First crew damaged all the window trim and several window screens the siding was not attached to the house securely. Left property messy, cigarette buts everywhere and their trash..the quality of work was very poor. Had to take down and redo. Second crew was even worse, did not think possible. Fired them after 8 months trying to get them to finish the job correctly. We have had no gutters on our house for 8 months. We gave them approximately 26% down payment, which in ohio is illegal, only allowed 10% or less, we were not aware, until we obtained the services of a lawyer to get our down payment back. Sales person was incompetent and did not know the siding business at all. (Hindsight). Per contract supposed to wrap whole house with vapor barrier, discovered that did not happen. I could go on and on, they did nothing right. Hired new company to do it correctly. Ended up costing more, because they brought to our attention that they would have to remove the 80 year old stucco, because they could not get the new firing strips to hold. Whether Home Genius knew this or not, they did not present that potential problem to us! If we would have them finish the job, we would have many issues with Home Genius install, as mentioned previously, customer service sucks. Not one sincere apology from any one at home Genius. I am not sure how they have an A+ on the BBB. They should be labeled Evil Genius!!

Beautiful new roof installed by home genius. There was a small change order but I am glad they communicated the need and got the job done right and to last do many years. Thankful to Dylan and his crew

From the beginning to end Home Genius was awesome. It started with Nick who sold the project, took the measurements were accurate, and delivery an affordable price. Then Sarah who ensured the materials and workmen were scheduled. Drew was my project manager. He was always professional , knowledgeable, friendly when he explained the work process, and addressed any concerns. Finally, I can’t say enough about the professionalism and craftsmanship if the installation crew. The clean up was awesome and the job phenomenal. Highly recommend this team!!!

Daniel was the project manager for both the installation of my storm door and hardy plank siding. My wife and I finally decided to do the projects and decided to go with Home Genius Exteriors. From our first meeting with Daniel through the final completion, Daniel demonstrated exceptional professionalism, organization, and attention to detail as our project manager.
Replacing the siding on our home is a significant investment, and Daniel made the entire process smooth and stress-free. He clearly explained the scope of work, timeline and materials, and kept me informed at every stage of the project. Any question or concerns I had been addressed promptly and thoroughly.
What impressed me the most was his commitment to quality. He ensured the crew followed proper installation practices, maintained a clean and safe job site, and completed the work on schedule. The finished product exceeds my expectations-the craftsmanship is outstanding, and the transformation of my home has been remarkable. Manuel, Ernesto and his crew did an extraordinary job. They went above and beyond and made sure everything is perfect down to the detail. I can definitely recommend them.

I had Gutters, Trim and Siding installed by Home Genius Exteriors, the crew was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable given the scope of work. They replaced the wood necessary that was rotted and needed to be replaced. They worked very hard and made my house look as good as new! The sales rep Grant Smith, was a pleasure to work with he explained to me in good detail the process and intervention needed to get my projects completed. The project manager Angel Martinez, was very attentive kept me informed of the crews arrival, their progress on the job and answered any and all questions I had regarding the work. Overall, the Home Genius team, was and has been a pleasure to work with. Additionally, I am getting windows and insulation installed with them as well! I’m happy to have them work on my home and am excited about the results so far! Thank you to everyone so far and I will highly recommend to all friends and family!
