Leaf Home Water Solutions LLC misled me during the installation and sale of a water filtration system in my home. The company’s actions have resulted in significant financial loss, poor product performance, and inadequate customer support.
On November 18, 2025, Leaf Home Water Solutions installed a water filtration system under misleading circumstances. Despite my explicit request for a salt-free system, the company installed a salt-based filtration system without my consent while I was not at home. After discovering this, I immediately contacted the operations manager, Mr. Matthew Muxlow, to request a replacement with the correct salt-free model. Unfortunately, Mr. Muxlow refused to address my concerns or offer a resolution.
Since the installation, the water quality has worsened rather than improved. The total dissolved solids (TDS) level increased from under 150 ppm to over 400 ppm, and the chlorine level has also risen significantly. This indicates that the installed system is underperforming and failing to provide basic water filtration benefits as advertised.
In addition, I was charged $5,800, a price that appears substantially higher than the market rate for comparable systems. I believe this overcharge and misleading sales process constitute an unfair and deceptive business practice. The company has also failed to follow up, inspect the water quality, or provide any remedy despite multiple requests.
I respectfully advise people to beware and study any transaction with this company carefully.
I will suggest the following:

I was interested in the no salt water solution system so I contacted leave home Water solutions a representative came out sold me on the system told me my water was high in iron waited to take out some retirement money in May to pay for the system it was installed since then have had nothing but issues never had to deal with this before the only reason I reached out I wanted to not have to put salt I still need to put salt with this new system I'm very disappointed having to have them come out and make adjustments and they still can't get it right. I asked them to retest my water and they told me there would be a charge no way am I paying for that. I have been purchasing bottled water for cooking and drinking the sodium in my water is not fit for even my house plants.

We decided to go with Leaf for our water softener solution. In the month of May or June they have installed the system. Unfortunately we didn't notice that they have done a unprofessional fixing which spoiled my underneath sink and even the basement was flooded. When I called the agent who came to my house he never picked up our calls. After I wrote a review at BBB then a support agent came home and saw all the damages and told us that the company would be paying for the damages. Now it's the year end till now I have not received the cheques which were promised. Again I'm going to file a complaint on this business for the fraud they have done. I urge everyone not to opt from this business.

The presentation of the water solutions was extremely professional and easy to understand. All aspects of the install and operation of system was explained as to understand easily.
