My Window Works

I am very disappointed with the lack of quality, handling, and communication from window works. The installers showed up to my home with a cracked window and were told to install it anyways without my knowledge. When I asked the installers why they are installing a window that has a giant crack in it, they told me that someone should have called me a few days ago to tell me about the window came from the factory broken. No one called, emailed, or texted me about the broken window! The installers were told by the project manager to install it and to “seal the crack” and they will order a new window pane and put a rush on it and that someone will call me to discuss the next steps. Their solution for “sealing the crack” was to put blue painters tape over the crack to hold the glass in place!!! THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE! I didn’t hear anything for over an hour so I decided to call the service department and ask to speak to the project manager Lena. When I called the service department, they tried to connect me to the Lena twice. She was talking to the men that installed the windows and the installers were relaying messages to me from her. I told them that I want to speak to her on the phone and not through them in a respectful manner. When I finally got a hold of her, she seemed annoyed or inconvenienced by me. I told her that it is highly unacceptable to deliver a window with a giant crack in it without calling me to let me know and it is a safety hazard! She told me that accidents happen and it probably happened on the way to my house and it’s under warranty so they will get it fixed. I told her that it wasn’t the issue I had, it’s the stories I’ve been told not lining up. The installers tell me that it came from the factory broken but she is saying it may have happened on the way to my house?! I told her I want compensation and a whole new window due to the seal being exposed to the air! She told me “we don’t do compensation and you’re under the warranty so getting a whole new window is unnecessary.” She did tell me that she put in a request for a new window pane today and they will try to rush it but it will possibly take 2 weeks due to the Fourth of July weekend. Why is she now ordering it when “apparently” it showed to the warehouse cracked a week and a half ago?! I am disgusted with the lack of professionalism and quality when apparently “window works does a quality inspection when it is about to get loaded onto the truck”. I paid A LOT OF MONEY for these windows and this is the kind of crap I get?! I want a brand new window and compensation due to this horrible experience from such a “reputable company”.

Window works was sold from Leaf Home to a private owner and the new owners will not honor the lifetime warranty for anything installed before 1/1/2024. I have had nothing but issues since my windows and doors were installed and now I have no way to get repairs done without spending money. I have attached a video of my sliding glass door during the rain last night. Good luck to anyone that had anything installed prior to the above date.

Update 5/23/26 I have removed the trim from around multiple windows and doors to find little to no insulation. I have attached pictures of around the door in the video. You can see light from outside in the picture of above the door and how there is basically no insulation on the sides. I highly doubt the craftsmanship of the employees is any different now that there is a new owner.

I called Window Works for a service visit and was extremely impressed. The technician arrived quickly, was efficient, and clearly very competent. He took extra care troubleshooting and fabricating solutions for our older-model windows — not an easy job — and made sure everything operated smoothly before leaving. The team honored the lifetime warranty without any hassle, which gave me real peace of mind. Every employee I encountered was friendly and professional. Highly recommend Window Works for prompt, skilled service and excellent customer care.

Noe, just finish up a project. I'll try to post some pictures of the newer pains. I wish I had before and after shots but I'm sure he took some. He has great customer service. Didn't try to upsell me on more repairs. We had six windows that needed replacement due to gasket failures. He took a measurements came when he was scheduled. I think at a fair price. Great customer service. No upselling tells you what you need. Tells you what to look for. Don't be surprised he does take half to get the order in and full payment upon completion of the job. Overall very satisfied. We'll hire again and already recommending them. This is why this is one of my biggest write-ups.

Very happy with these windows. I spent more than i had planned, but the quality of these windows over other brands i considered is apparent. I really wanted colored windows and others only offered beige and white. Bestvdecision ever. My neighbors are impressed and some are jealous.

I had the pleasure of meeting Marc from Window Works today. He arrived on time for our consultation and promptly addressed my concerns about my windows. Despite knowing he could have sold me new ones, he was honest and informed me that my windows didn’t need replacing. I truly appreciate his integrity!

I also wanted to replace my side entry door. After measuring, we sat down and he showed me various options. He explained the materials used in the doors and their energy efficiency. Although I didn’t make a purchase today, I look forward to working with him in the future.

We unfortunately fell for their sales pitch and replaced all of our windows totaling $24,000!!!
Every single window has significant draft, what was installed and what was presented to us is not the same. I have called them twice about the draft issue and no one has reached out to me. Perhaps this company was good a few years back before the ownership change but right now their quality is below par. Do not purchase from Window Works!!!! I actually would prefer my old windows over these.

Edit: we now have ice and condensation on the on the inside of out home on the brand new windows from Window Works. Pictures attached.

Marc was very thorough in his presentation regarding the purchase of replacement windows. He showed the difference in product and cost of the competition and why. He also showed the ratings from BBB straight from the internet. He explained the the different parts of the windows and casing and why they are important. Right out the gate he demontrated his knowledge of windows and whether there was deteriation or not that the average person would not recognize. I would recommend him for your window replacement consideration.

My first experience with Windows Works was about 8-10 years ago. I was very satisfied with the installation of all 19 new windows in my home. The windows, on the other hand, were just above par. Over the years, I’ve had to replace about 4 windows that had leaked and fogged up. The first 5 years are free for both the window and labor under the warranty. After 5 years, just the windows are covered and NOT LABOR. I currently have 2 windows that need to be replaced, but I don’t feel like spending the money to have them repaired as they’re out of Labor Warranty.
Fast forward to today. I had three windows damaged in a storm that needed to be replaced, so I contacted Window Works to replace them. Windows Works is now owned by Leaf Home Enhancements, which I didn’t know until they sent me a quote for the 3 new windows. I went ahead with the quote regardless.
When my initial whole house install was done, a Window Works truck showed up with two installers wearing Window Works uniforms who were awesome. This time it was a white unmarked van and one guy dressed in normal clothes. At first I had no idea who he even was until he came to the door and said he was there to install some windows. I’m assuming that Window Works no longer have their own installers and just hire subcontractors to do their work. That should have been a red flag as the entire install for 3 new windows went horribly. One of the windows was actually installed crooked somehow, and he had to come back and fix his mistake. The entire installation job on all three windows was done poorly. The caulking was so terrible that the weep holes on the outside of the windows were actually caulked up! I had to cut out the caulk so the window would drain properly. Even the windows I received were damaged. One of the screens wouldn’t fit and the other had a tear in it. The bottom sash weather stripping was installed incorrectly. I have several pictures showing all the problems.
My advice would be to look somewhere else for windows! Never ever using them again!
