Solar Optimum

I have a 14-years old solar system and the inverter was not working on a Saturday. I called my installer but was not able to connect, the phone kept clicking off like the company was no longer in business. I went to a neighbor who had a solar system and they gave me the phone number of Solar Optimum who installed their system. I called and was connected to Allan Le who was very helpful in having a technician to come for diagnostics and fix the problem. I agree to prepay for the technician to set up the appointment. The next Monday, while waiting for Solar Optimum I tried calling my installer just in case. It turned out that my installer’s office was closed on weekend. My installer was able to come and got the inverter working. I had to cancel the appointment with Solar Optimum and Allan Le was very professional in processing the refund. I highly recommend Solar Optimum if you need solar system for your house, and in particular, ask for Allan Le!!!

I had solar installed by Solar Optimum, and the entire process went very smoothly from start to finish. Communication was excellent throughout, and everyone I dealt with was professional, helpful, and kept me informed along the way. I’m very pleased with the installation and overall experience and would recommend Solar Optimum to anyone considering solar.

Total bait and switch. I got a quote for solar and a battery in April and paid a $500 deposit. The sales rep promised me in writing I'd get $250 back if I had to cancel. They waited until the free cancellation window passed to do the site survey, and then suddenly jacked up the price by 20% just to put the battery next to my electrical panel! When I pushed back, they actually asked ME to send them photos of my own house to find a new spot. What did I pay a $500 survey fee for? After that, my rep ghosted me for weeks. A director finally emailed me saying the rep was 'on vacation.' Now they refuse to honor the original price AND they are keeping my entire deposit, completely ignoring the written refund promise from their own employee. Stay far away from Solar Optimum.

I’d highly recommend Solar Optimum and Roofing Optimum.

We’ve had our solar system from Solar Optimum for more than 10 years, and our experience is a great example of why choosing the right company from the beginning matters. They installed a high-quality system that has performed extremely well over the years.

At one point, both of our inverters experienced a manufacturer-related issue. In fact, Solar Optimum identified the problem before we even realized something was wrong. They worked directly with the manufacturer to secure a replacement inverter at no cost and handled the installation quickly and professionally.

When it came time to replace our roof, we didn’t hesitate to reach out to Solar Optimum again. Their GAF Master Elite certification and the advantages of having the same company manage both the solar and roofing work provided tremendous peace of mind. The warranty benefits are excellent, and the roofing warranty is transferable, which adds real value and is something many roofing companies do not offer.

We recently completed a full solar removal, reroof, and solar reinstallation project with the Optimum team, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. The entire project was completed in about a week, exactly in line with the schedule that was provided at the start. The crews showed up on time, worked hard, communicated well, and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day despite the significant amount of work involved.

From start to finish, the process was smooth, professional, and well-managed. It’s rare to find a company that delivers this level of service over a relationship spanning more than a decade.

Solar Optimum customer service has been awesome. Communication has been great, and they have kept me in the loop along the way. We just had our roof replaced with them and everything went smoothly. All the concerns I had were addressed, and the folks that did the work were on time, and knowledgeable about their craft. They looked out for my best interest and provided great value, including a very strong warranty. Definitely recommend.

I had great experience with Solar Optimum. From beginning to the end they have been very helpful. The sales team, the installer, and the support team were all helpful through the installation. For me it was a turn key project. They have done all engineering drawing, submitted to the city, got the permit, and most importantly they were the key contact with PGE. Solar Optimum applied the SGIP application for me with PG&E and continuously followed up with PG&E. After completing the project and getting the solar system activated Solar Optimum SGIP team continued on interfacing with PG&E for about a year and got my SGIP application approved successfully. I strongly recommend Solar Optimum, they got the experience and they are very supportive.

Solar Optimum did an excellent job delivering my Solar PV system! The schedule was tight to obtain the tax credit and the NEM2 reservation that I already had. Brandon Chavez jumped through hoops to make this happen on time! The permit drawings were developed quickly and accurately. The installation crew installed the entire system on my roof in about 4 hours and did a beautiful job including painting any exposed conduits to match the house. The City Building Inspector is familiar with Solar Optimum and their quality work and easily signed off the permit. Their pricing was considerably lower than almost every quote that I received. I highly recommend Brandon and Solar Optimum!
